Our story

A Green Street Institution

Mobeen opened its doors on Green Street, Upton Park, in 1981.

Hand-stretched naan went straight onto the tandoor wall, meat came off the charcoal still smoking, and the chana masala built the reputation Green Street still talks about. For over four decades we've built our name the old-fashioned way — one kebab roll at a time.

Today that same family kitchen lives on at 656 Green Lane in Goodmayes — same recipes, same tandoor. And thanks to one TikTok video, a new generation just found out what Green Street already knew.
